Gudied Hike of Waters Farm in Sutton Planned Feb. 4

The Blackstone River Watershed Association will hold a  guided winter hike at Waters Farm in Sutton on Saturday, February 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. Guide will be Ranger Chuck Arning who will help  participants  explore the wintery woods at the historic farm (www.watersfarm.com).

Waters Farm, a hilltop homestead built in 1757, is 120 acres of watershed land overlooking
beautiful Lake Manchaug. Snow shoe rentals will be made available but will be snow-cover
dependant. Participants are welcome to bring their own snowshoes and are asked to dress appropriately for the weather.

Participants will meet at the Darling Barn at Waters Farm. Parking is available in front of the Barn. Hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies will be served after the hike.

RSVP required by February 1. Register at Events@thebrwa.org. Specify the number of snowshoe rentals needed and size (adult/child, s/m/lg/xlg).

The Blackstone River Watershed (BRWA) is dedicated to preserving and protecting the
Blackstone River and its tributaries. The organization participates in water quality
monitoring, shoreline surveys, cleanups, and invasive-species removal in the Blackstone
