NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – The high school on Friday night was loud with trash talking, foot stomping fun as Big Time Wrestling began its spring tour at the school.

Imperial.com sponsored the show which was a fundraiser for the junior class.

Making their way to a rink set up in the center of the field house, muscled men with stage names like Mister TA, Black Talented Wrestlers, and Hot Commodity trotted into the crowd, glad-handing or taunting.

“White trash,’’ taunted one of the Black Talented Wrestlers. “This is Whitinsville, isn’t it?’’

The approximately 400 men, women and children of all ages were there for two reasons – to support the 2013 graduating class of Northbridge High School and to see wrestling great Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

A steady stream of people stood in line before the beginning of the show to get Duggan’s autograph on his photograph or a piece of wood, or have their photo taken with Duggan, his legendary 2x4 in hand.

“We’re going to beat down your hero, Duggan,’’ taunted the team of Black Talented Wrestlers, their championship belts slung across their shoulders.

“Some of the action can come out on the floor in front of you; just be aware of that,” warned the master of ceremonies to those seated in the front row around the rink.

The next Big Time Wrestling Show will be March 24 in the Webster Town Hall. For more information, visit btwpro.com.
