NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – James R. Marzec, a member of the Board of Selectmen, announced his intention to run for a third term this week when he turned in nomination papers with the required 50 registered voter signatures to the Board of Registrars.

Randeen Zanca, who was appointed to fill a vacancy on the School Committee in 2011, also submitted nomination papers, confirming her intention to run for a full three-year term.

Alicia Cannon, also appointed to the School Committee to fill a vacancy, has taken out nomination papers for a three-year term.

Five positions on the School Committee are available in the May 15 Annual Town Election - three elected, and two appointed members.

Selena Livingston has taken out nomination papers for re-election to the school board.

School Committee members Frederick J. Beauregard and Richard P. DeLuca have yet to indicate whether they will run for re-election.

Four residents, James Henderson, Thomas Farley, Richard Tier and Jeffrey Mallard have taken out nomination papers for positions as Trustees of Soldiers Memorial.

Nomination papers will be available in the office of Town Clerk Doreen Cedrone until March 23. They must be returned with the signature of 50 registered voters by March 27.
