NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - Stanley F. Kosciak, 61, of 43 Leland Rd. died Monday, Feb. 13 after a brief illness.
He is survived by a brother John and his wife Beth Kosciak of Northbridge; three nieces, Jaclyn, Allison, and Megan Kosciak all of Northbridge, as well as his extended family.
Born on Aug. 7, 1950, he was son of the late Louis and Phyllis (Sotek) Kosciak and lived in Whitinsville all his life.
Mr. Kosciak was a long haul truck driver for 30 years. He was recently employed by Dana Suttles Trucking in N. Grafton. Previously he owned and operated with his brother Gloria Jeans Coffee Beans in Cambridge. He had also been a computer technician in the banking industry.
He was a graduate of Northbridge High School class of 1968 as well as East Coast Aero Tech. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran serving as an air traffic controller aboard the U.S.S. Coral Sea and was also stationed in Maryland. In his younger years, Stanley was an accomplished musician playing the trombone. He enjoyed golf, playing pool, and camping. He was known as a great cook.
His funeral service will be held from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 East St. Whitinsville. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, Feb. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
